I've taken the MP3's down temporarily to provide some bandwidth for you lot to download a video of Fuck Off and Die from the Leeds Punkfest last year. If the bandwidth goes crackers I will have to take it down ... but first come, first served.

Folks, please note a change to the El Cajon venue from the Nevevah Club to the Vineyard. Apologies to Dave from M.F.H. who told me ages ago ... I forgot!
Whilst I'm here, I can tell you that the new album is all on schedule and should be with you VERY soon. I've got mine!!!

February 20th - Broken Bones (Video)
We've been trying to find a way of providing you with access to some of our video clips collection without having to pay an internet service provider by the megabyte. There is a solution that is not as simple as clicking a link and waiting but you don't need to be all that computer savvy to use it. I've set up a share for users of
WinMX
to gain access to some Broken Bones video clips, MP3's from the Leeds show last year and some footage from the recording of the album last year.
You can get WinMX at:
http://www.winmx.com/download
http://dld91.winmx.com/8198751285/winmx353.exe
The share is on the WinMX Peer Network
Network User / ID "Broken_Bones_Meatman_999"
If it all works out OK, I will add some more from the Derby, Leicester and Nottingham gigs from last year.
So far, the share contains the following files:
Leeds Cockpit Gig
- Death is Imminent / Annhilation #3 (MP3 3295KB)
- IOU Nothing (MP3 1401KB)
- Stand Up (MP3 1338KB)
- Fuck Off and Die (MPG Video 28833KB)
London Squat Gig (Stig Memorial)
- Money, Pleasure and Pain (MPG Video 30727KB)
- Never Say Die (MPG Video 32947KB)
- The Possibility of Life's Destruction (MPG Video 18103KB)
Stoke Prism Recording Studio

- No One Survives (MPEG1 Size Video 41627KB)
February 13th - Stig Memorial Weekend
I still can't find the words, so I've let Stig do most of the talking. The following link takes you to a 7MB shockwave file so if you don't run DSL / Broadband, I shouldn't bother (even if you have it will probably take an age). It's my effort to describe the Stig Memorical, for what it's worth.

February 12th - Stig Memorial Weekend
I'm still trying to find the right words to describe last weekend. Until I have them, I will have to refer you to other websites who already have their stories to tell. Check out the messageboards at
www.conflict-uk.com
and
www.londonpunks.co.uk/memorialgig
and from Sunday Feb 13th there will be some photographs at
www.artofthestate.co.uk/mainindexpages/icons.htm
If you have your own story to tell then please feel free to put it on our messageboard.
January 23rd
Happy New Year and all that ... bit late, I know. Just checking in to let you know that the website does still get updated from time to time! I've added a new gallery on the Photos page which is just the boys having a pose at the same Cemetery in Stoke where the original 'Dem Bones' photos were taken. They were originally taken for the new album but I think you'll prefer the finished artwork much more. As far as the album goes, the release is scheduled for April and Oddy is desperately working on a USA tour to coincide. If you can help him,
send an email
December 29th - Cancelation of Rigger Gig
Sorry for the short notice but we've had to pull out of the Rigger gig due to illness. Poor old Dave just aint himself at the moment and banging a drum just aint gonna help. Let's wish him a speed recovery and look forward to a New Year of hardcore thrashing at the hands of Broken Bones.
December 5th - Another Broken Bones / Conflict Bash
Following the success of the Leeds Cockpit gathering, Nigel Hindley has kindly agreed to set up another 'mini' gathering in Preston on March 19th, 2005. Check out full details at
http://www.njhindl.demon.co.uk/mill_2005/index.htm
November 27th - Stitched Up
Just closing the loop on this one. After much deliberation, it's been decided that Stitched Up aint shit, it just aint punk!
Cheers to Martin Gabastou - The Oldest Punk in Argentina !!!

Dr. Strange does it again. Yet another kickass release from the Doc. I've recently received a preview of Dr. Strange's upcoming release by British Hardcore band Broken Bones. On the way home from the post office, I popped it in the player, and as usual with Dr. Strange releases, I was immediately impressed. But then again, why would I expect different from the Doc? The guitar and drums on this CD pounded me, apparently making my right foot weigh about 350 lbs, because when I looked at my speedometer I was doing almost twice the speed limit. It has been quite a while since a new CD has made me want to smash shit up, but this CD definitely does it. If your driving is influenced by the music you are listening to, I would advise you to take caution while driving with this CD in the player.
This CD is fast, loud, and angry! Just the way I love my music. The guitar riffs just continue to prod you into a frezy, as the fast drum beats get you into that "Fuck Shit Up!" mood. This is one of the only bands I've ever heard to bridge that gap between hardcore and metal successfully. Many bands have tried, but none have ever gotten it done as well as Broken Bones.
With all these lines people have drawn into the proverbial "punkrock sand", I'm not sure where Broken Bones would fall into your classifications, but for me, I think 1 part Agnostic Front, 1 part Anti-Nowhere League, 1 part Slayer, 1 part C.O.C., 2 Parts early DRI, and a dash of David Hasselhoff. (The dash of David Hasselhoff is just in there to give the rest of the mix something to pound on!)
No seriously, I recommend everyone check out the upcoming Broken Bones release on Dr. Strange Records!! If the Doc keeps putting out these kickass C.D.'s, my 10 disc changer will contain nothing but Dr. Strange releases..... But then again..... That’s not a bad thing!!
November 24th - Review of Leeds Cockpit

November 19th - Leeds Cockpit Gig
Broken Bones, GBH & Conflict sharing the same stage. Enough said, surely? Broken Bones arrived later than planned (but still well in time for our slot) courtesy of the Leeds ring road. Fucking easy to find once you know where it is. Next time we'll get directions instead of using the Force. The promoter looked like he was about to lay an egg. All bands were on good form (in fact, Conflict played the tightest set I have ever seen them play ... they were amazing) but the highlight of my evening was a conclusion to over 12 months of tenacious nagging to get Broken Bones to include "Death is Imminent" in the setlist. I'm still smiling now. The boys were superb and if you didn't see them then you've got another chance next week in Nottingham.
There's gonna be a war (Rejoice! Rejoice!) etc.
November 6th - Sorry it's been so long
Really sorry about the quiet time. Oddy's been in the States with Conflict, Bones has been thrashing away with Discharge, Dave has been busy working on some merchandise ... not sure what Quiv's been doing but it almost certainly involved beer, spicy food and a high degree of flatulence. Anyway, just a quick note to remind you that the Leeds Cockpit gig is only a week away. I was in touch with the promoter earlier this week and advance sales have been incredible so it's sure to be a good turn out. Just in case you've been living under a rock the Cockpit gig is an all dayer, headlined by Conflict with GBH and Broken Bones in the main support slots.
Merchandise
Take a visit to our Links Page to see how to get some Broken Bones merchandise. We have been working with a number of potential suppliers and have recommended 3 for you. Two are based in the USA and good old Dave will provide a "direct from Broken Bones" UK distribution.
September 24th - New Gig
Broken Bones will be playing at the Old Angel Inn in Nottingham on November 27th. See Tour Dates for link
September 11th - Camden Underworld Photographs
London Underworld photographs have now been added to the Photo Galleries
September 7th - Camden Underworld Gig
I'm getting way too old for all this ... actually maybe I'm just getting way too fat and unfit for all this. There I am, well chuffed with m'self in my Fuck Off and Die T Shirt not knowing just how much I was gonna hurt the following day. The highest acclaim has to go out to the crowd at the Underworld for this gig, even if you did knock me glasses off me face! If you were there then THANK YOU ... YOU WERE FUCKING GREAT!!! There's so many people to thank after this gig I just know I'm gonna fuck up and forget someone. If I do, then I am really fucking sorry ... Anyway, thanks to FEAR OF FEAR and CONFLICT for their support slots, to CHARLIE HARPER for coming along to see us, to Mr "SICK ON THE BUS" Pisshead for making us laugh, to ERICK from BRAZIL who is a crazy bastard and to our friend from PORTUGAL for coming to London just to see Broken Bones. Photography for the night was provided by PAVLA YEATS
(info@pyphotography.co.uk)
- I hope to have the photos uploaded to the gallery in the next week or so. Finally, thanks to BROKEN BONES for putting their hearts and souls into their performance
Never Say Die ...
August 23rd - Time for Anger
Thanks to Shaun Lowe at Prism Studios
(prismstudios@aol.com)
who gave up his Sunday to work his magic on the new album. The finished product will soon be on its way to the USA to be cloned and as soon as is practically possible to your own noise stations, courtesy of Dr Strange Records.
August 5th - Fuck Off and Die!
The new album is getting the final twist of perfection on August 22nd.
On August 23rd you'll be able to download the peoples' choice ...
We're gonna kick yer arse, gonna kick it good ...
July 24th - London Gig!
Broken Bones will be playing the Underworld in good old Camden town on Sunday 5th September.
July 21st
Almost a month since I last updated the site. I am a bad, bad Meatman. So, did you make it to Llandudno and the Wasted Festival then? Punk enough for yer? Whether you made it or not, you can see a fair few photographs of the day if you check out the Gallery or go straight to the
Wasted Festival
from this link.
June 26th
OK, somewhat delayed, here's a quick update. Last weekend was a long one which started at Prism Recording Studios, Stoke on Trent, where a bloody good start was made to the new album which is going to be called "Time for Anger, not Justice" I really think you're going to be pleased with this one. It's hardcore. It's fast. It's Broken Bones for fucks sake ... Later the same day, we piled into the cars and squeezed an hours set into 45 minutes at Nottingham Boat Club with Chimp Biscuit (great name), Bomb Blast Men (www.bombblastmen.com) and our old friends Extinction of Mankind. I say this every time but it was a bloody good night out. If you were there then you know already and if you weren't you should have been. There are some photographs in the usual place but I've bought a new Camcorder and not quite got the hang of it so I'm afraid they're not much bigger than thumbnails. As a last resort, I'll read the manual ... See you at Llandudno.
